Chardonnay – 2006 Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards

 

 

This smooth and medium-bodied European-style chardonnay has floral notes in the aroma together with hints of pineapple, apple skins, and peaches.  Aged in 75% neutral French oak and 25% new Minnesota oak for 10 months prior to bottling.

Nebbiolo – 2003 - (Exclusively available only from the winery) Amador County – Sutter Creek

 

Called the pinot noir of Italy, this truly elegant wine has subtle aromas of cocoa and blackberry brambles.  The rich and earthy flavors of black cherry and dark chocolate resonate on the palate with smooth tannins.  Aged for 30 months in French and American oak, this wine like a fine Barolo, will continue to develop complexity and finesse through additional bottle aging.

Pinotage – 2005 - Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards

This unique red wine is delightfully smooth and elegant and it has aromas of violets, black currants and pine.  Robust flavors of wild cherries and cocoa are followed by finishing hints of roses, raspberries and cloves.  Barrel aged 22 months.

Wish Upon a Star – 2004 A Super Tuscan    Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards

A rich and hearty blend of Sangiovese (57%), Cabernet Franc (23%) Cabernet Sauvignon (8%), and Aglianico (12%), with black cherry and anise aromas and full flavors of dark cherry and spicewood.

Serenity – 2003 - A Rhone-style California Red wine

Sonoma Syrah (10%), Amador Co. Syrah (41%), Mendocino Co. Petite Sirah (10%) and Mendocino Carignane (39%).  Individually aged for 30 months in French and American oak, this blend of wines is complex yet velvety smooth with flavors of mature cassis with hints of cinnamon.

Dark As Night – 2004 - A Bordeaux-style Red Wine - Amador and Mendocino Counties

A well balanced and smooth blend of Mendocino Merlot (65%), with Amador County Cabernet Sauvignon (12%), and Cabernet Franc (23%).  Sumptuous and earthy black oak aromas evolve on the palate in to rich flavors of raspberry, hints of cedar and black tea, followed by a long white pepper finish.

Barbera – 2004 - Amador County – Shenandoah Mine Ranch. 

A deep, flavorful and concentrated red wine with the aroma of ripe prune plums, fresh cut pomegranates, and vanilla beans.  Flavors of dried cherries and licorice are balanced by adequate acidity.  Aged 32 months in French and American oak.

Cabernet Franc – 2004 - Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards. 

This velvety smooth and luscious red wine has aromas of dark berries, pepper and coffee.  Discrete tannins are balanced by rustic flavors of dark cherry and caramel.  The finish is long, peppery, and memorable.  Barrel aged in French and American oak for 33 months.

Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley   

Smooth and elegant, the aroma of this Napa Valley Cabernet evokes memories of violets, mission figs, and cigar box while the flavor tends toward black cherry, tobacco and chocolate.  Barrel aged in French oak.

Elysian Fields – 2004 - Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards

The Greeks brought the noble Aglianico grapes to Southern Italy some 2,500 years ago.  This blend of Aglianico (86%) and Sangiovese (14%) resulted in a robust wine having earthy scents of blackberry brambles and crème broule with flavors of black cherry, coffee, and dark chocolate.  The lingering finish is long and peppery with cedar wood spice. Barrel aged 30 months.

Syrah – 2003 - Alexander Valley (Dry Creek hilltop grown)

Lush aromas of blackberry, cocoa and cinnamon evolve into flavors of black cherry in a long cedar finish.  This hilltop grown syrah was aged in French and American oak for 31 months.

Petite Sirah – 2004 - Mendocino and Amador Counties

Well balanced but intense, this deeply layered wine has aromas of blackberry, clove, and peppery vanilla.  The almost chewy texture reveals nuanced flavors of dark fruit and cassis, followed by a dusting of cocoa.  Barrel aged for 32 months.

Zinfandel – 2004 - Amador County– Shenandoah Mine Ranch

A delicious and spicy blend of Zinfandel  with aromas of licorice and ripe raspberry which transform on the palate into flavors of blackberry and raspberry, with just a hint of maple.  Barrel aged for 32 months.

Old Vine Zinfandel – 2004 Mendocino Co. -  German Vineyards

Chosen from vines planted in 1968, these Zinfandel grapes have evolved into a velvety smooth  and flavorful red wine using traditional-style wine making techniques.  Complex and well balanced, flavors of black berries, cinnamon and a hint of white pepper linger long on the palate.  Barrel aged for 33 months.

Souzao Port – 2005 - Amador County – Sutter Creek Vineyards.
